The U.S. Department of Education has awarded 51³Ô¹ÏÍø a five-year, $2.2 million grant through the Title III Strengthening Institutions Program in order to increase retention and graduation rates and eliminate equity gaps.

AMHERST, N.Y. – 51³Ô¹Ï꿉۪s College of Health Professions will be named The Scott Bieler College of Health Professions in honor of Scott Bieler – a member of the university’s board of trustees and the president and CEO of West Herr Automotive Group, the largest automotive group in New York State and one of the largest privately-owned auto groups in the country.

Board of Trustee Chair John R. Yurtchuk has committed $2 million to 51³Ô¹ÏÍø, the largest single gift in the institution’s history. The donation will support the President’s Excellence Fund, which ensures the university’s continued vibrancy and long-term stability.
